The Shoebite has done it. Percept Picture Company is believed to be locked in a legal tussle against UTV. The bone of contention is a film called Johnny Walker which was to be directed by Shoojit Sircar for them, starring Amitabh Bachchan.
Well it seems that Johnny Walker just never got off the ground due to some reasons. Meanwhile UTV started a film with Sircar, titled Shoebite, with the Big B in the lead. The plot of both films is said to be similar. When Precept got wind of it, they were amazed that even the director and lead actor were the same. They held the intellectual property rights to the film. So they have gone ahead to court and got an injunction from the Delhi High Court in their favour. By the order of the court, the shooting of the film Shoebite has been stalled. The makers of the film cannot market or shoot the film till the case is resolved. The film is three fourth complete. So the first round in this legal battle has gone to Percept. First it was Ram Sampath, who took on the Roshans successfully and now it's the turn of Percept.
