Aamir Khan has time and again proved that he is an actor with a conscience. Unfortunately, most of the time, his postulations have been dismissed as a publicity stunt. But the man has surely proved that he is just not talking rubbish. I mean, with a film like Taare Zameen Par, he has proved that he is not at all talking.
And if that is not enough for his critics and detractors, then surely this should do the trick. The actor's next home production will be a film on farmer suicides. It will be directed by first time director Anusha Rizwi, who has written the script herself. The story is about a journalist who reports on the horrifying condition of farmers. It seems to be mirrored on her own life as Rizwi herself was a television journalist for a while. Aamir has been associated with a lot of causes over the eight years. One of them has been the famous Sardar Sarovar case. He had also expressed concern for issues like those concerning compensation for the victims of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. Aamir is not expected to star in this film. The actors for the film are likely to be taken from the theatre world. The film is expected to be shot in Uttar Pradesh later this year. And while on Aamir, it is believed that there is more to the sudden found love between him and Amitabh Bachchan. According to the buzz, Aamir's next directorial venture is likely to feature the Big B in it.
