Palador Pictures Pvt. Ltd., the undisputed leader in the World Cinema category in India with close to a thousand World Cinema titles, has scored another ace in the recently organized Osian's-Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema in New Delhi. The recently released TOKYO SONATA from Japan directed by master filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa received roaring applause from the audience and bagged the prestigious Best Film Award in the Asian Arab category at the festival."We are delighted that TOKYO SONATA has won the top honours at this prestigious festival. It is good to see Indian audiences beginning to appreciate films in the World Cinema category. Film enthusiasts appreciated the range of films shown at the festival. TOKYO SONATA is a sensitive and touching examination of a dysfunctional Japanese family that slowly disintegrates after its patriarch loses his job at a prominent company. Another Palador film, MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS, a story of a young woman taking a soul-searching journey across America to resolve her questions about love while encountering a series of offbeat characters along the way, left the audiences mesmerized at the festival. The film is a creation by maestro Wong Kar Wai starring Jude Law, Norah Jones and Natalie Portman.
