London, July 27 (IANS) Batman star Christian Bale says he is tired of people labelling him a sex symbol.

New-magazine.co.uk reports that when he was asked about his new status as a sex symbol he said: 'Who isn't one these days? All you have to do is stand on this side of the red carpet and you're called a sex symbol. There's no more to it than that.'

Asked what his wife thought about the mental and physical transformation he undergoes for his roles, he replied jokingly: 'She gets to sleep with a whole bunch of different men. So, maybe it's not so bad.'
