London, Aug 7 (IANS) Actress Eva Mendes, who is courting controversy for her Calvin Klein ad, says her mother is her biggest fashion critic and never lets go a chance to criticise her for her outfits.
Mendes' mother also scolds her for not being more lady like.
Contactmusic.com quoted Mendes as saying: 'Every time I walk the red carpet, she'll say, 'Oh, the hair was a bit too much,' or she'll comment on the shoes. I know she's just looking out for my best interests, wanting her daughter to shine.'
The Calvin Klein ad is banned by some TV networks in the US.
