Mumbai, August 7 (ANI): The crew of the latest Bollywood movie 'Singh is Kinng' has left no stone unturned to promote their movie.

At a promotion event in Mumbai on Wednesday the crew had a small chat with the media revealing the little secrets about the movie.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film 'Singh is Kinng', starring action hero Akshay Kumar and gorgeous Katrina Kaif, has already generated a lot of interest amongst the audiences.

With a catchy title, wonderful locales and good soundtrack, the film has all the right ingredients to set the cash registers ringing at the box office.

The movie revolves around a Sikh, hailing from a small village in Punjab and how his life is transformed when he reaches Australia on a mission.

The main interest has been generated by the title of the film 'Singh is Kinng', which has gone beyond the film and which, makes the director of the film Bazmee feel a little secured in the highly risky business of Bollywood.

Bazmee revealed that it was for good luck that the figure 'n' was added to the word king in the title.

"We are in a high risk business so sometimes we tend to get little superstitious as long as it doesn't cross the limits we are fine. Little bit of numerology does give us the faith that we are on the right track and there is nothing wrong in that and that's why the 'N' was added," said Anees Bazmee, Director.

The story of the film is about Happy Singh, played by Akshay Kumar, who is a fun loving, and mischievous character and how his life transforms when he goes to Australia to bring back a fellow villager Lucky Singh.

The film trails the journey of Happy Singh as he sets off to Australia hunting for his friend who is an underworld don and he even gets pulled in the trail and emerges as 'Singh' being the 'Kinng'.

Though the lead actor clarifies that the film is not about Sikhs but about a person who has the caliber of being a king.

"It's not about community or only about Sikh. It's just a character that I am playing and I am not saying that only Sikhs are king. I am saying anybody can be a king. It's about having a positive attitude towards life and that's what makes you a king," said Akshay.

Akshay and Katrina have sizzled the screen in various other films and it is time again that the duo is rocking.

The leading lady grasped the opportunity to strike the right cord by praising her co-star who is popular for his action stunts.

"I really hope that audience loves us in this film as well because he is wonderful person to work with and keeps the energy on the set. It's when I go for other films and only then do I realise that he has great energy on sets as you get quite bored otherwise," said Katrina.

Shot mostly in the sun kissed locales of Australia, the movie is scheduled for release on August 8th. (ANI)
