Mani Ratnam's praise for Krishna

Recently Mani Ratnam watched a few excerpts from Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai and was deeply impressed by it. He praised its director Krishna effusively for his novel effort and concept. We had to literally "extract" this information from Krishna, whose humility prevents him from sharing this compliment with anyone! The film, which is the first metro movie of this city, is different in many ways and is very close to the heart of this experimenting director who wants to give Tamil cinema a new dimension. Krishna is a talented artist who has made innumerable ad films along with Santosh Sivan and has learnt the tricks of cinematography from P.C. Sreeram. Ad filmmakers have a unique perspective and a unique way of presenting their thoughts, which is clearly evident from the very title of the film. Therefore, there is no doubt the people of Chennai are in for a treat pretty soon.
