After the dismal show of Laptop in the box office, director Roopesh Paul is all set to tread the path of commercial cinema. And this time he has chosen Kollywood as his platform. He is all set to direct Aattanayakan (Tamil) and has roped in stars like Prakashraj, Sreekanth and Malavika to play the lead roles. Laptop girl Padmapriya and another Malayalee actress Shamna Kassim will also be featured in the film. Songs are being rendered by Vijaya Lakshmi and Navaneeth Krishnan, both assistants to music maestro Ilayaraja. While Laptop, termed as a different movie, was made with a budget of Rs. 65 lakhs, Aattanayakan has a budget of Rs. 5 crores. The script will be written by Indu Menon who was also responsible for Laptop but the script will be translated and modified to suit Tamil audiences by Pokkiri fame Prabhakar. Roopesh will start the shooting of Aattanayakan by 25th August.
