There is something about history and historicals. Once one is bitten by the bug, it is difficult to recover. Take the case of Ashutosh Gowariker. After making Lagaan, he took a break from history with Swades, and then went back in time with Jodhaa Akbar.
The latest is that the director, whose next film is believed to be a romantic comedy starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja, is all set to again take a trip down the ages. After his contemporary take with his film based on 'What's Your Rashee?', he intends to make a historical again. This time the director has been inspired by a book on the Chittagong Rising, which took place in the 1930s, and was part of India's struggle for freedom from the British. Chittagong is now a part of Bangladesh. But the director is currently concentrating on his Priyanka Harman starrer. Only when he is through with that, he will take a call on his next movie. But the good news is that Gowariker, will soon be back to making the kind of film that he is best at.
