Vamshi, which was supposed to release on September 12, has postponed the date to October 2 due to the One Day Champions Trophy Cricket matches in September. Vamshi is being produced by Raghavendra Rajkumar and features his brother Puneeth Rajkumar and Nikitha in the lead roles. Puneeth is not only just an actor but a good singer too. He has been crooning for his movies since his first film Appu. He not only sings for himself but has rendered his voice for his brother Shivrajkumar in Lava Kusha. As a child artist, he had sung the popular song 'Kaanadhanthe Maayavaadhanu Nanna Shiva' in the super hit Chalisuva Modagalu. Puneeth is rendering his voice in Vamshi too. The audio launch will take place shortly and Anand Audios will release the album. Puneeth, who has rendered his voice to youthful and peppy numbers so far, has sung a melodious number for Vamshi and it is expected to be a major highlight of the film. Shooting of the film has been completed and it is in the post-production stages now. Two song sequences have been shot abroad. The director is Prakash and R.P Patnaik is the music director.
