When the Parsees are celebrating their New Year Today, there must be a sense of satisfaction that around the same time another new star from the fraternity has been able to make a mark in the business of marquee and has been able to hold his fort against the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone and Minssha Lamba. The star in question Hiten Paintal, and the movie which has done the magic for him is BACHNA AE HASEENO. Hiten Paintal in this sense seems to be carrying on the tradition which his father Paintel had established with Ranbir Kapoor's father Rishi Kapoor in score of films that this duo enacted together. In their heydays Rishi Kapoor and Paintal was a hot pair thriving on their striving sense of comedy.

Though Hiten was never visible in any of the promos, he has turned out to be a dark horse of BACHNA AE HASEENO and though it has taken nine years for him to redeem himself, what with having made a debut in 2000 in Sanjay Gadhvi's film TERE LIYE which did not make any impact, it indeed is a success worth all its weight of each day from 2000.

It also is a year which is the north centenary year of the fearless Nadia, who was the first female star who broke all the stereotypes associated with a female actor and by fortuitousness was a Parsee (she was married to Homi Wadia, one of the great pillar stones and icons of the Hindi cinema) whose phenomenal contribution to the promotion of the action films in Hindi seems to have been consigned to the stained and moth eaten annals of the history, a past which nobody wants to visit.

At a time when a trend has been started of remaking the successful films of the past, it is high time somebody should start remaking the films of fearless Nadia. There are scores of female stars who can do the roles enacted by Nadia, and anybody who picks up this gauntlet from amongst the stars of the present times should be sure of having a totally new image for herself.
