London, Aug 25 (IANS) Actor Luke Goss, who appeared in the movie 'Hellboy II', regrets squandering his life to drugs while at the height of his 1980s boy band fame.

The former Bros star confesses that his group wasn't as clean and pristine as their image suggested. Contactmusic.com reports that he remembers being offered a steady amount of drugs and sex.

He said: 'You don't get in the music business just for the music. It's music, girls and maybe a bit of drinking. I was doing a lot of drugs when I was with Bros. Plates of cocaine would go round at parties.

'I was growing up and made a lot of mistakes, but the drug thing wasn't for me in the end. When I left the band, I was smoking a lot of weed, but that didn't last long. I lost about six months of my life from being in a haze.'

Goss says it got too much for him and that is why he quit the business.

He added: 'It got old really quickly for me. I'm just not built that way. I like being with people I really love and care about.'
