Actor Farooque Shaikh, who had almost disappeared from the big and the small screen, is now all set to make a comeback with director Shona Urvashi's Saas Bahu Aur Sensex. The actor was last seen on the big screen some 10 to 11 years ago. But the actor insists that he never actually went away as he was quite busy with his plays and his TV shows.
The actor said that he was approached by the makers of Chashme Buddoor and found it difficult to say no to a new director like Shona. This will be Shona's second directorial venture and she is believed to have envisaged Shaikh in the role and was most relieved when he heard the script and agreed to do the role without any fuss. In the film, Shaikh will be playing a stockbroker, who helps a bunch of women understand the Sensex and the stock market. He is supposed to play a man who is very uncomfortable in female company. There is said to be a triangle between him, Kiron Kher and the stock marker. Shona's sister Masumeh will also be acting in the film. That has made our Tanushree Datta quite insecure about her role in the movie. She is believed to have asked for retakes after retakes much to chagrin of the director. Tanusree feels that Masumeh may just walk off with all the accolades.
