Actor-director Sudeep's birthday was celebrated at his home with much fanfare and joy. Hundreds of admirers thronged Sudeep's residence in J.P. Nagar, carrying flowers and cakes. Sudeep, who is always known for his friendliness towards his fans, met them and received their greetings. The actor's 35th birthday was not without glitz and glamour. Several film personalities including producers and directors arrived at his home to wish him on his birthday and it was a treat for fans to see them all at one place. This year, Sudeep's birthday came at a very good time, with two good pieces of news circulating. One is that Phoonk (his first film in Hindi directed by Ram Gopal Varma) is doing tremendous business all around the country. The film, made at a relatively low budget, had a terrific opening and is expected to become a super duper hit. Also, Ramu is heard to be planning to dub the film in to several international languages, which means that Sudeep's performance will be seen not only in India, but all around the world. Now, the other news is much more exciting in the sense that Ramu is planning for Phoonk 2, retaining the cast. So, Sudeep definitely has struck a chord with Ramu and will have another opportunity to perform in Hindi, which is the ultimate destination of any actor in India.
