This was a week which did not any big film releasing. Two small films, Lucky Kohli and Rajesh Bajaj's Hari Puttar A Comedy of Terrors and BH Tharun Kumar's Rafoo Chakkar Fun On The Run. Both films, which were comedies, shared a similar fate at the box office. They both fared very badly with dismal openings at the box office. Neither of the two movies is expected to pick up itself and improve its showing. In fact, it would not be far fetched to predict that neither of the films will run beyond a week.
Among last week's releases, veteran director Shyam Benegal's Welcome to Sajjanpur seems to have picked up and is faring better than before. The film did not open very well but has picked up subsequently. It is doing well at multiplexes as well and single theatres. But last week's other films, Shona Urvashi's Saas Bahu Aur Sensex and Jaideep Verma's Hulla, were wiped out. But there are three films which are continuing their magic run at the box office Rock On, A Wednesday and 1920. The next week has two big films lined up for release. The first is Goldie Behl's Drona, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap, starring Sanjay Dutt, Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba. There is also Ramchand Pakistani, directed by Mehreen Jabber.
