It was one of those rare weeks, which saw just a solo release in the form of Atul Agnihotri's Hello. But the film could not capitalize on its good fortune and proved to be another dud at the box office. The opening day was not to bad for the film at most multiplexes, but from the second day onwards, the film's collections plummeted to a mere 30 to 40 per cent.
The film, which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's One Night @ The Call Centre, could not create an impact despite Salman Khan's special appearance. The previous week's releases, Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap and Goldie Behl's Drona have not been able to recover from their dismal showing. Even Ramchan Pakistani could not create any impact. But if it is some consolation to Gadhvi, his film did marginally better than Drona. Next week will see the release of the muchhyped, Karzzzzz, a remake of Subhash Ghai's super hit Karz. This film has been directed by Satish Kaushik and has Himesh Reshammiya, Urmila Matondkar and debutant Shweat Kumar in the lead roles. The other film ready for release next week is Shoot On Sight directed by Jagmohan Mundhra. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri among many others.
