Today is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's birthday. The actress turns 36 today as she brings in her birthday with hubby Abhishek Bachchan and director Mani Ratnam, on the sets of the latter's latest film, which is said to be a take on the Ramayan.

The film's shooting is currently on and the actress will be celebrating the day, working. The shoot of the film has already been delayed because of Amitabh Bachchan's hospitalisation. Both Abhishek and Ash had to cancel the shoot and stay back in Mumbai. But it seems that Mani was understanding enough and, hence, post Diwali, it was back to work for the couple. This will be their second film together with Mani, the first being Guru. Today, Ash seems to have settled down very well in her marriage and with her in laws, all of who seem to dote on her. Career wise, the actress is not exactly in the best of places even though her last film Jodhaa Akbar was very well received. She still has some good films on hand. One of them is Mani Ratnam's film and the other is Endhiran, formerly Robot, opposite Rajnikant. Life has been pretty good for this Bachchan bahu so far, if a little stressful, what with her father's illness and then the Big B's hospitalisation. And one is sure that she has a lot more to offer to films. From being a beauty queen who reigned over the world to one of India's top actresses, she has been the face of Indian cinema for a lot of Hollywood makers as well.
