The year may not have been fantastic for Abhishek Bachchan, but it has not been all that bad. The actor had a disaster in Drona, but his Dostana is out as well and his work in the movie is bound to be noticed. What's also great is that the actor has some very interesting films on hand.

The first film that comes to mind is Rakesh Mehra's Dilli 6, which should be Abhishek's next release. Also on the anvil is Mani Ratnam's film, where he is cast opposite wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But it seems that the actor is also very keen to work with Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo, the son of veteran actors Ramesh and Seema Deo. The duo has worked with Abhishek's father, Amitabh, in Anand as well. Anyway, their son Abhinay is an established ad filmmaker and Abhishek is quite impressed with his work and wanted to work with him once he heard that he was turning to film direction. Abhinay's next project is with the junior Bachchan. Once he wraps up Delhi Belly, he will start work on the Abhishek starrer. Incidentally, Abhishek and Ash will also be working on a film which is similar to Abhimaan. It will be directed by Rajiv Menon and finally there is a film with Rohan Sippy. So for a year which started with Sarkar Raj for Abhishek, the going has not been too bad. With a bunch of exciting films in his kitty, things are bound to turn around for him.
