Some guys have real bad luck. And Vivek Oberoi seems to be heading that list. The guy has suddenly become persona non grata for most heroines in Bollywood, and the actor is having a problem getting a heroine to act opposite him.
In fact, his roles in the last few films that he has done, do not pair him with any heroine i.e. Mission Istanbul or Shootout At Lokhandwala. But now that Vivek has grabbed a role in Karan Johar's next to be directed by Rang De Basanti writer Rensil D'Silva, he definitely needs a heroine to star opposite him. But his search proved futile when most of the leading heroines declined the role. Just when it may have seemed that all was lost, actress Tara Sharma agreed to play the role. The film already has Kareena Kapoor paired with Saif Ali Khan. It seems that Bipasha Basu was one of the heroines approached to act opposite Vivek, but she declined. Katrina Kaif could not be approached because of Vivek's relation with Salman Khan. So now the actor has to be content with Tara, who plays his journalist girlfriend in the movie. Incidentally, all his attempts to make up with Salman and the Bachchans have come to knot. Neither of them seemed to have accepted his invite to turn up for his sistre's wedding, which took place recently.
