Karan Johar has suddenly decided to take on the role of godfather. He is quite serious about playing godfather to a whole lot of youngsters, who are trying to make it as director.

Sons and brothers of quite a few bigwigs in the industry are clamoring to work with Karan and he is more than happy to oblige. David Dhawan's son is currently working with him and so is Dino Morea's brother Santino, who is assisting him on My Name Is Khan. Boney Kapoor's son has already assisted him in Kal Ho Na Ho. Besides that, the producer and director has already given breaks to young directors like Soham Shah with Kaal, Nikhil Advani in Kal Ho Na Ho and recently, Tarun Mansukhani with Dostana. Also on the list are Ayaan Mukherjee with Wake Up Sid and late character actor Premnath's grandson Siddharth Malhotra. It's quite an impressive list. But having learnt his lessons the hard way, Karan has made all his directors sign a three film contract with his company, Dharma Productions. With the rate that he is going, it won't be long when Karan will officially be known as Bollywood's Godfather No 1.
