Warner Bros. Pictures India Enters Into an Exclusive Three Film Pact with People Tree Films

Warner Bros. Pictures India has entered into an exclusive three picture deal with People Tree Films. This pact covers the production and distribution of three films to be released by Warner Bros. The agreement was announced today by Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja, Partners, People Tree films and Blaise Fernandes Country Head for Warner Bros. Pictures India.

Jaane Kahaa Se Aayi Hai staring Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ruslaan Mumtaz under the direction of Milap Milan Zaveri is a romantic comedy about a woman from Venus who crash lands on Earth looking for love. She befriends a born loser who is extremely unlucky in finding love who helps her in her quest of finding true love. The music direction of the film is by Sajid and Wajid. The film in currently in production and is slated to release in summer of 2009.

Chandbhai is Nikhil Advan'si second directorial venture with Warner Bros. after Chandni Chowk to China. Akshay Khanna and Vidya Balan star in this emotional heartrending story of how a struggling director transforms a rebel inmate of a remand home. It tells the story of how two characters change their life by facing their inner demons and embracing life and happiness in the process. Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy are the music directors of the film.

The third film is Basra starring Akshaye Khanna and directed by Navdeep Singh. It's a story of a spy and a cop's lives intertwine in a dangerous game of espionage, betrayal and revenge triggering off from the deserts of Iraq and moving through the underbelly of Mumbai's drug and flesh trade and finally ending at the powerful corridors of politics in Delhi.

"Each of these films belongs to a different genre. Jaane Kahaa Se Aayi Hai is a romactic comedy whereas Basra is a political thriller. Chandbhai is a film that has been close to my heart for a while now and I am glad to start this as my first project after Chandni Chowk to China" says Nikhil Advani, Partner People Tree films.

"We are proud to associate with Warner Bros for three more film after Chandni Chowk to China. We are looking at releasing Jaane Kahaa Se Aayi Ha in the summer of 2009, Chandbhai during Diwali 2009 and Basra will hit the cinemas at the end of 2009" says Mukesh Talreja, Partner People Tree films.
