Music giants Sony is believed to have filed a case against Shree Ashtavinayak Films, alleging that they have sued the song' Jab Se Tere Naina', illegally in their movie, Golmaal Returns. The case has been filed in the Mumbai High Court.
Sony, who holds the music rights of the film Saawariya, which was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, have reportedly said that the song has been used quite a few times in the film without their permission. According to the music company, they had sent several notices to the Ashtavinayak office, advising them to seek permission for using the Saawariya number in their movie but have received no reply, failing which they have now gone ahead and slapped a case against the production house. According to sources, the production company has admitted to having a case filed against them by Sony, but said that the case had been thrown out by the court. Guess we will be seeing more and more of these conflicts in the future, Our Hindi filmmakers are not known to be original and have got into the wonderful habit of borrowing or stealing from wherever they like, without anyone's permission, of course.
