Every now and then, the positions at the top keep getting shuffled. When Amitabh Bachchan was reigning at the box office, there was hardly anyone who came close to the kind of money that he was charging and receiving for acting. But times have changed. These days, it's not just one man, but three who are ruling the roost where money is concerned.
The top three actors or the three who are managing to get the most moolah from their producers are Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Actually, the names hardly come as a surprise following the release of Singh Is Kinng, Ghajini and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. All three actors demand and get a share of the film's profits besides their hefty signing amounts. But the winner in the current race seems to be Aamir. He has beaten Akshay, who is reported to have received something to the tune of Rs 41 crore from Singh Is Kinng. He has already made Rs 35 crore, according to trade sources, within two weeks of Ghajini's release. Following this trio's footsteps would be actors like Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, who too are able to make similar demands from their producers . But this year, the two actors do not have too many projects on hand. Bringing up the rear would be actors like John Abraham, who has received a boost after the success of Dostana, Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt. That is where the big money is these days, in Bollwyood.
