Forbach(French, 2008) directed by Claire Burger won the Whistling Woods International Best Live Action Film Award 2009 and sum of USD 2000. A student of La Femis (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Métiers de l'Image et du Son), Paris, Claire very interestingly narrated the painful discovery of a successful actor returning to his native places to find how people around him have changed.
Guerre Naïve by SUPINFO International University, Valenciennes, won the Whistling Woods International Best Animated Film Award 2009 along with USD 1000 Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Suresh Kalmadi said, "I thank Mr. Ghai for supporting the PIFF whole heartedly. This kind of encouragement to students will guarantee high caliber films in future. I would also like to mention that it was great to have the screening of your film Black & White here".
