Mahesh Babu has scored a big win with 'Pokkiri' at the recently concluded Filmfare awards. He has won the best actor award.
The film has also turned out to be a special one for director Puri Jagannath who ahs won the award for the best director this year. This time around, the surprise winner was Mamta Mohandas. The gorgeous heroine has won the award for best playback singer for her 'Rakhi' (no wonder everybody is now talking about a romance between a certain music composer and her).
'Pokkiri' will soon be remade in Hindi with Salman Khan in the lead. Neither Asin nor Trisha is playing the lead role.
Genelia has won the award for best actress for the film 'Bommarillu'. The film also was picked up as the best film of the year 2006. The awards will be given away no the 4th of this month at a grand function in Hyderabad.
