The only thing known about maverick director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's (closely guarded) SAWAARIYA is that it is about three generations. Obviously the youngest generation is represented by Rishi Kapoor's 'star in the waiting son' Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor's promising daughter Sonam. Salman Khan and Rani form the mid-generation, and last but not the least; the senior generation is represented by living legends, Zohra Sehgal and Begum Para.If sources are to be believed, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much awaited SAWAARIYA may well be adapted from another classic piece of writing, the short story, 'White Nights', by acclaimed Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky.
The story revolves around a lonely man, a young girl and her lover. The older man and the young girl become friends, only to realize that the man is falling in love with her. And just when he confesses, the girl's estranged lover returns, leaving the man lonely again!
