Charismatic yesteryear hero MGR's films inspire the greatest awe even today. That's why many filmmakers are eager to remake his movies and today's heroes aspire to act in at least one such remake. If a hero or filmmaker does not get such an opportunity, he makes all attempts to see that at least one of his films is titled after an MGR classic! Such is MGR's charisma!
Soon, producer Venkatram Reddy of Vijaya Pictures and producer of several hits including Padikkathavan will capitalize on MGR's charismaby remaking MGR's Nam Nadu, originally produced by his father Nagi Reddy in 1969.
Confirming this news to the media, Venkatram said he is looking forward to start the project soon. Adding that he has already started selecting the cast and crew, Venkatraman stated that he would prefer to retain the old title Nam Nadu. Well, this means this title would be used for the third time in Tamil cinema, as a recent Sarathkumar film was also titled Nam Nadu!
