Director Anthony D'Souza is having the time of his life trying to complete his debut venture, Blue, co starring Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar. First there was talk of both the superstars trying to upstage each other, and now it seems that the director may have to wait for the general elections to be over before Sanju baba can give him dates.
It's been a while that the rumours about Akshay and Dutt trying to upstage each other in the film. According to sources, they have both been applying pressure in different ways, on director D'Souza, to increase their footage in the movie. Both Akshay and Dutt are kings in the action genre. And now that they are paired together, each is more worried about the length of the other's role and as to who has more action sequences. According to sources, so far, it seems that Akshay has been getting the better of Sanju as he had managed to influence D'Souza. Sanju has obviously not taken it too well. In the past, the producers of the film have met and reassured the actor that his bits in the film would not be reduced on Akshay's insistence. For a while, all seemed well, but now that Dutt has taken the plunge into politics, it does not augur well for the film. It seems that Dutt may not be shooting for the next three months as he needs to concentrate on his fledgling political career. This would further put a spoke in the wheel for D'Souza, who has been juggling between two egoistic, insecure superstars, all in a bid to complete his movie. But if the reports are true and Dutt does take a break for a while to concentrate on his political career, there is little that he can do, short of tearing his hair out. But this time, he find himself in the company of other affected producers and directors.
