London, Aug 1 (ANI): Harry Potter author JK Rowling has revealed what she believes happened to the wizard and his friends after the end of the final book in the series.

Rowling, in a 90-minute web chat, told fans that she thinks Harry was named head of the Auror Department - under the new wizard government headed by Kingsley Shacklebolt.

The Auror Department in the wizard government fights dark wizards.

According to the Daily Express, Rowling also revealed to fans that Ginny Weasley, who later married Harry, went on to play for the Holyhead Harpies, the female Quidditch team.

When she left the team to raise their children, James, Albus and Lily, she continued writing as Quidditch correspondent for the Daily Prophet.

Harry's best friend Ron Weasley joined his brother George as a partner in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, their joke shop. While his wife Hermione worked in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures helping poor creatures before joining the magical law enforcement squad.

Ron and Hermione had two kids, Rose and Hugo. (ANI)
