Slumdog Millionaire has already won several prestigious awards and now expectations are soaring high on how it would fare in the Oscars.
This million dollar question has brought in a new trend in Bollywood. Yes, reports flow in that there is a $41 million bet on Slumdog Millionaire, especially on A.R. Rahman.
With the Oscar nearing (February 22nd, 2009), the stakes are just getting higher. Sources say that this is perhaps the first time that the bookies are placing a bet on a film and Oscars.
However, in the international betting arena, the bets are placed only on acting, best film and best director. Slumdog Millionaire was directed by Danny Doyle and the music was composed by A.R. Rahman.
