He came to Mumbai to make his fortune in acting, after creating a stir in the Delhi theatre scene. But once in Mumbai, actor Piyush Mishra has used his other talents to good use as well. Besides delivering powerful performances in films like Dil Se and Maqbool, the actor has even tried his hand at writing. But the latest is that he is turning a music director.
If reports are to be believed, then Mishra is all set to compose the music of Anurag Kashyap's Gulaal. The actor feels that composing comes naturally with him and therefore he does not forsee any problem in that area. Even though Gulaal was in the making for six years, the music for it was composed just a few months ago. The film has eight tracks, which see a fusion of all kinds of genres. Mishra has lent his voice to two of the tracks and even penned all the lyrics himself. And he is also acting in the movie. Writing is something else that Mishra does very well. His was the pen behind the dialogues of The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, the lyrics of Tashan and Black Friday. This multifaceted actor is currently working on scripts for Yash Raj Films and Shaad Ali. He is also witing lyrics for Vishal Bharadwaj's next project as well. One of his ambitions is to pen a book, not an autobiography, but one which sees a blend of fact and fiction.
