London, July 25 (ANI): The flood may have brought life to halt in parts of the UK, yet it has failed affect the delivery of the new Harry Potter book's copies, thanks to the postman named Richard Yates.
The 55-year-old man took the pre-ordered copies of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' to the doors of the customers by carrying them in his 4X4 car.
The task was not easy for him, as he had to drive through a lot of water for delivering the tome's copies.
But Richards took every difficulty in his stride only to make people happy while they were struck indoors.
"I thought people would be glad of something to read while stuck indoors because of the floods," the Mirror quoted him as saying.
"The roads were very treacherous and I had to drive through a lot of water but when I started dropping the books off, I was amazed. They were absolutely overjoyed. The water was nearly up to my waist but the thanks made it all worthwhile," he added.
The 20 books that Richard delivered in his home village of Harvington, near Evesham, also included a copy for his 16-year-old daughter, Kelly. (ANI)
