Kumar the film is amongst the first non dubbed films to be released both in Hindi and Tamil at the same time. The film also stars Poonam Dhillon, Sachin Khedekar and Murali Sharma, with music by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.The bilingual film will release across 550 screens worldwide of this 525 would be in India ( Hindi and Tamil together) and rest would be in US, Canada, UAE, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia. 13B - Fear has a new address and YAVARUM NALAM where both shot simultaneously in Hindi and Tamil and not dubbed. For authenticity, the director even tried to keep a different cast for both versions, except the lead actors R. Madhavan and Neetu Chandra and few others. Shooting a bilingual film back to back might not be such a pleasant experience for the cast and the crew, especially a supernatural thriller. While R. Madhavan was paranoid and careful about getting the accent correct as he switched between the two languages. Multi-faceted, director Vikram K. Kumar took up the challenge of technically shooting two films simultaneously. It was an added responsibility to find actors who not only act but were also fluent with both the languages.
Says R. Madhavan, "In 13B, the TV set is the protagonist of the film and the heroine would be me, that's the way the story goes. That's how we have positioned the film, so it was never meant to be the hero comes out victorious in the end kind of film. It is meant to frighten you, it is meant to intrigue you make you think twice. So if I have to be the heroine in the film so be it."
BIG Pictures Chief Marketing Officer, Saurabh Varma said, "BIG Pictures is very excited about 13 B - Fear has a new address. We truly believe in the potential of this project and are strategizing unique ways to engage with the audience."
