This long legged model has been in news more for partnering dancer Sandeep Soparkar in his many performances. But not anymore. Jesse Randhawa's little cameo as a professor caught in the cesspool of politics in Anurag Kashyap's recently released Gulaal has not gone unnoticed.

It seems that it was her unconventional looks which really caught Kashyap's eye when he decided to cast her in Gulaal. This was just after he had made Paanch, which was not allowed a release by the Censor Board. Jessie recalls being very impressed by Kashyap's story narration and jumped on board. He was fully convinced of his credentials as a director. Of course, years later, she also did an item number in his No Smoking, which starred John Abraham. Even though her role in Gulaal was not a very lengthy one, it gave her enough scope to prove herself as an actress. Incidentally, the model made her acting debut in a 2004 film called Chot, which flopped quite miserably. She is quite content doing roles that require her to do something out of the ordinary. Going around trees and doing the usual heroine thing is not her cup of tea. The actress's next screen appearance will be another cameo in Srinivasan Bhashyam's Love Khichdi. She is now all set to focus on Bollywood following the release of Gulaal.
