Washington, Aug 3 (ANI): Singer Lionel Richie has admitted that his daughter Nicole Richie 'has made some mistakes'.
The soul star said that the socialite, who has been sentenced to four days in prison, hasn't blamed anyone else for her faults.
"My daughter has made some mistakes in her life and has accepted responsibility for her actions. She has not blamed others for her problems and is growing up very quickly, albeit in the heat of the media spotlight," us magazine quoted him, as saying.
The Grammy-winner added that he is 'proud' that he passed on his father's advice, to own up mistakes, to his daughter.
"My father taught me to stand straight and take whatever punishment or hardships were the result of my actions and I am proud that I was able to hand that philosophy down to my daughter," he added. (ANI)
