Contrary to opinion, things are actually looking up for actor Govinda. He may or may not get a ticket from his party to contest elections this time, but he has quite a few films lined up for release this years. Even though one Chal Chala Chal has fared miserably, it is no reason to despair for the actor.
In fact, the actor has lots of reasons to feel hopeful and optimistic. His favourite director David Dhawan's Do Knot Disturb, which stars, is complete and ready for release on July 10. The much delayed comic caper, Run Bhola Run, directed by Neeraj Vohra too is ready and may be releases in July as well. The making of this film saw a lot of drama taking place off screen as well on the sets. The actor will hope that the film create enough drama at the box office too. Run Bhola has Govinda paired with Ameesha Patel, along with Tusshar Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Upen Patel and Aryan Vaid. Then there is Mani Ratnam's Raavan, which is more in the news due to the presence of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Govinda plays the role of Hanuman in this modern day adaptation of the Ramayana. There is just one more schedule of this film to go before it is complete. The actor has also finished work on Ravi Chopra's Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai, which is probably going to release in May. Besides Govinda, the film also stars Tabu and Lara Dutta. Then there is Abbas Mustan's Life Partner which is also ready for release. Finally, he also has David's Partner II in hand. The director will begin work on this movie once he is through with Hook Ya Crook. The second in the Partner series will b produced by Sohail Khan and star Salman Khan and Govinda all over again. So things are actually looking up for the actor. With some five films set for release this year, all of which belong to decent banners with a very competent cast and director in place, Lady Luck may just be on Govinda's side this time round.
