Now that it is more or less certain that RGV KI AAG is slated to release on August 31, Sajid Nadiadawala's HEYY BABYY is likely to be the only major release of 24th August. The movie, shot mostly in and around Sydney, boasts of a stellar cast, comprising Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Vidya Balan, not to forget the biggest star, the baby!While most directors are reluctant to reduce the length of their movies, trust Sajid Khan to do just the opposite! He has gone ahead and edited out 28-minutes from HEYY BABYY, thus reducing the running time to 2 hours and 10 minutes. As per Sajid, it was done to achieve 'better results'.
Just to elaborate, a shorter film usually means a crisper edition plus more shows per day, especially at the multiplexes.
