'Keerthichakra' was a blockbuster hit for Major Ravi. It also happened to be his very first film. It starred Mohanlal in the lead. It therefore came as no big surprise when the director announced that his next film would have Mammooty in the lead.
But, in spite of the fact that the film was made by the man who led the team of Army officers in their hunt for the Rajiv Gandhi assassins, it didn't quite strike a chord with the audience. The film had potentials to raise lot of controversy. It prompted the then senior official to write a detailed book.
Strangely, all these factors still failed to evoke controversy.
The director is now getting ready to make another film with Mohanlal in the lead. This one is going to be based on the Kargil War again.
