Nadigar Sangam is an active association in Kollywood who take on the role of spokesperson for artist in times of crisis.
For the association to intervene in any issue, an artist will have to be the member of this council.
Some of the actresses from Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are yet to register themselves at the association.
There is a general feeling at the Nadigar Sangam that artists approach them only in times of crisis but are hesitant to become a member. Shriya, Sivaji heroine has been evading this membership for quite some time and finally she has paid the life membership fee and has joined the council.
