Rajkumar Hirani has had enough troubles trying to get his film 3 Idiots off the ground. It took him quite a while to get the cast of his choice. Once that was done, a considerable chunk of the film was shot. But now it seems that his film may have come up another obastacle.

The obstacle seems to be none other than lead actor Aamir Khan's vacation. The actor is believed to have gone on a vacation with his kids leaving Hirani in the lurch. The director wanted to wrap up his movie and try for a release at the end of the year. But as usual, Aamir has his own take on what is good for the movie. According to sources, the actor feels that they should find out which other film is releasing at that time of the year and then fix the release date of 3 Idiots. According to sources, the actor also wants another face-off with his rival Shah Rukh Khan. His Ghajini managed to best SRK's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi at the box office last year and he would a repeat with 3 Idiots as Karan Johar's My name is Khan is also reportedly being scheduled for an end-of-the-year release as well. Well, at least farah Khan admitted that it was wrong of her to pit her film Om Shanti Om against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya and turn it into war between the two directors. But it seems that Aamir is still trying to play one upmanship games. After all, a hit is good news for the industry, be it an Aamir starrer or a SRK starrer.
