The doe eyed Bengali beauty Kamalini Mukherjee who shot to fame with her brief but powerful performance in Vettaiyadu Vilayadu was initially touted to play the role of heroine in Pirivom Sandippom and she even completed a photo session with hero Cheran.
However the role fell on Sneha’s lap and when director Karu Pazhaniappan was questioned on this, he attributed call sheet as the excuse for this.
But Kamalini has a totally different explanation to offer. According to her she liked the script that was narrated to her which had immense scope for performance which made her give dates for the film. Subsequently, the story was altered and her role was diluted and she withdrew from the project. “What Pazhaniappan says is his own opinion but the truth is only this”, concludes Kamalini.
Currently the lady is busy in Tollywood with many films. She is involved in a film where the story is written by Bharathi Raja, directed by Sathyanarayan and also in a film directed by Girish. When asked about Tamil movies, the actress says that talks are going on and announcement will come in September.
