Following the trend set by Nagesh Kukanoor, the US-based filmmaker, Arun Vaidyanathan, after making a few short films, has ventured into making feature films. His first one is Achchamundu Achchamundu.
Arun’s passion for cinema and penchant for writing made him leave a lucrative job as software engineer to complete a film making course in New York Film Academy.
Arun penned, directed and hosted over 50 television shows and famous among them is the ‘Hollywood Special’ for Raj TV. His short film As You Wish won laurels at the Lower Eastside Film Festival in New York. Arun’s highly acclaimed and popular films, Br(a)illiant, was awarded the ‘Exile Award’ in the London Vimbam Film Festival. These are a few examples of his achievements. After his short films got the recognition it deserved in major film festivals, Arun decided to make a full length feature film. P. Srinivas of Om Cinemas Private Limited is producing this movie in collaboration with S.P.B. Charan’s Capital Film Works. The movie is expected to be filmed entirely in the US.
Achchamundu Achchamundu would star Prasanna and Sneha in the main roles and the pre-production work for the film is on. Mr. Vaidyanathan will soon start work with the crew, which would primarily consist of Hollywood technicians. Lyricist Tamarai will pen the lyrics for which Premji Amaran will score the music.
