Looks like everyone is after setting bigger records each passing month. We don’t know whether the people who are trying to pull these feats off are in any way inspired from Dasavatharam but they have their minds set upon achieving what they have aimed and we are not talking about any big Bollywood star emulating the Dasa act. But actors who are not that big, have done enough on a very consistent basis to prove their caliber.

One among them is known for his funny antics and comic timing and the other is known to be one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood these days. Rajpal Yadav and Kay Kay Menon. Of course, those who are not interested in Hindi films might not have even heard these names but believe us these are actors worth watching on screen. Rajpal Yadav is more or less the reigning comedy king of Bollywood with his latest Chota Don act in Partner putting him right on top of everyone else. Kay Kay Menon is a synonym of intensity, his performance in Sarkaar and the more recent Black Friday and Metro stand testimony to his acting talent. But he has proved that he can handle comedy pretty well too with Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.

Now what will these people be doing? Well, Kay Kay Menon will be doing 14 roles in a movie to be directed by theater artiste Makrand Deshpande (Lagaan and Swades fame). The movie is an adaptation of a successful play directed by the same person. It will be a spoof on Hindi films and actors and will see Kay Kay Menon don different get ups; actor, director, postman, milkman etc. Really tough to guess what this movie is going to look like. Rajpal Yadav will be going two higher in Bunty Ka Mama, which will see him in 16 roles, and he is going to be playing the most famous personalities on earth. Not Bush or Osama, he will be playing Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Shaktiman and a range of other international and local superheroes.

Of course, the scale at which these movies are being made will not even be close to the Dasavatharam levels but the challenge they are taking up of doing so many roles in a single film is the same. Will the results delight or disappoint?
