Nearly after 25 years of Rajini’s Pollathavan now Dhanush is starring in a film of the same name. Divya will be sharing the screen space with Dhanush this time.
It has already been made clear by all those involved in the movie that Dhanush’s Pollathavan is not a remake of the older version and has nothing to do with that film.
According to sources, the only similarity that one can find between the two is that a car used by Rajini in Pollathavan is being used by Dhanush in a song sequence.
Now another similarity has also cropped up, but this one is with Ninaithale Inikkum. Readers may be aware that a remix version of the famous song “Yengeyum Yeppothum” is being featured in Pollathavan. S.P. Balasubramaniam who has sung the original song will also be rendering the remix version. And the song will be filmed in AVM Studios; but then, the original version was also filmed there.
