Shankardada Zindabad had a fantabulous opening all over the world and Chennai is no exception to it. Shankardada, a remake of the Munnabhi series, has once again emerged a winner. This remake of Lage Raho Munnabhai has Chiranjeevi playing the Shankardada, a don with a heart of gold.
The mega star of Tollywood has come out with a stellar performance, and steals the show (as usual!) with his charm and quick wits. His dance numbers need a special mention; but then, the Rubberman Prabhu Deva has directed the movie.
The chemistry between Chiranjeevi and his sidekick ATM, played by Srikanth, is being appreciated by one and all. The movie has already attained the hit status in Chennai. The first in the series, Shankardada MBBS, did not impress the Chennai audience as Kamal Hassan also came up with his version around the same time.
With the absence of Vasool Raja, for the time being, the Telugu version is ruling the roost. However, the excess masala added, to toe in line with Chiranjeevi’s image has negatively affected the movie a wee bit.
