Ashwin, son of comedian cum politician S Vee Shekar is making his entry in Kollywood in Vegam. Besides the main star cast, Vegam will also witness the coming together of Kushboo and Prabhu after a long hiatus.
The film unit is back in Chennai after a schedule of shoot in Malaysia. While discussing about the unit’s stay in the country, S Vee Shekar is full of valid grouse.
“When the Malaysian minister had come here, he invited Kollywood to their country promising all the help to shoot there. I believed his words and landed there but alas, the minister could not even be contacted.”
When discussing about the main theme of the film, Shekar honestly divulges that an English film is the source of inspiration for Vegam. It is certainly surprising to get such a candid statement in an industry which would vouch for originality despite hardcore plagiarism.
