Ram Gopal Verma has decided to bury the hatchet and patch up with Vivek Oberoi, an actor who shot into fame with Ramu's Company. The actor and director seem to have drifted apart due to certain differences, but are now reportedly back with Vivek having been signed on for Ramu's next, Rakta Charitra, where he will be playing the title role of Paritala Ravi.

Ramu has been inspired by the story of the feared Paritala Ravi who was assassinated in January 2005 in Andhra Pradesh. He describes the as being extremely gripping as Paritala Ravi had many facets to his character. He was not just a feudal lord, but a modern day Robin Hood, besides being a murderer and a saviour. Ramu has done his research for the movie and is ready with stacks of material on him. But this time he intends to break new ground by making the movie in two parts, both of which will be released within months of each other. As for deciding on Vivek, the director felt that the actor's intensity would be perfect for the character. This should surely come as good news for Vivek.
