Washington, Aug. 8 (ANI): Actor Thomas Haden Church has been signed by Paramount Pictures to star in its film 'NowhereLand', slated for a release on 26 September next year.

The Oscar-nominee will star alongside Eddie Murphy in the Karey Kirkpatrick-directed movie, the shooting for which begins next month.

Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing the film with Ed Solomon, who has co-written the script with Chris Matheson.

The film revolves around a successful finance executive, to be played by Murphy, whose career suddenly goes down the drain. He finds the answers to his problems within the magical world created by his daughter.

Church will play the role of a ruthlessly ambitious rival of Murphy's character at work, reports Variety magazine.

Earlier, Church and Kirkpatrick worked together on 'Over the Hedge'. The movie was directed by Kirkpatrick, and Church had lent his voice in it. (ANI)
