Kamal Haasan’s dream project Marudanayagam faded into oblivion after the Queen of England launched the movie amidst much hype and hoopla. Unfortunately, the movie had to be stalled due to financial problems but Kamal is very positive of commencing the work soon.

Now the Queen is back and this time for the Bollywood. It is said that she has consented to grace the premiere of Yash Raj film’s Chak de India with her presence. Chak de India is about a women hockey team and the turmoil faced by a coach to make the team achieve glory. The King of Khan’s, Shah Rukh is playing the coach. The movie will get one of the most publicized and lavish premieres accorded to any film in the recent past. Chak de India will have twin premieres consecutively, one in London and the other in Los Angeles.

The London premiere will be held on the 9th, August, a day prior to its release in India. However, the not so exciting response to the film’s music has been a dampener on the pre-release euphoria. But, everyone associated with Chak de India is confident and are of the opinion that since it is not really a musical there is nothing much to worry. The team is in cloud nine after hearing the Queen’s acceptance to attend its premiere and the Mayor of London has also shown keen interest in this movie. Everything is starting to look bright for this Yash and Khan combo.

Yash Raj films have planned to release the promos of their upcoming Lagaa Chunari Main Daag along with Chak de India. Meanwhile, the producers of Bollywood’s next big sports film, Goal are also planning to release the promos of the movie along with Chak de India.
