The only Tamil film that came to the pre-final round of selection at the Cannes Film Festival is Thankar Bachan's film 'Pallikoodam.' The story is inspired by Thankar's story 'Kalavaadiya Pozhudhugal' and stars Sneha, Shreya Reddy, Narain, Seeman, Thankar Bachan and Meenal. The film is produced by Viswas Sundar and music is by Bharadwaj.
The film is being released tomorrow, so Thankar is screening the film for important people. Last week, it was screened for the CM, Karunanidhi, at the Four Frames theatre in Nungambakkam. He was accompanied by his daughter and Rajya Sabha MP, Kanimozhi.
Karunanidhi enjoyed the film immensely and at the end of the film, he was all praise for Thankar that such films will elevate the standing of Tamil culture.
Rajini also had positive comments after seeing 'Pallikoodam.'
